The goal of Central Utah Outdoors can be summed up in two words: accessibility & motivation.
Accessibility: people, places, skills & information
Access to people. Many outdoor pursuits require a reliable partner or group of people. By coming together as a group we help put you in touch with people who share your interests.Access to places. We are surrounded by amazing places. Utah is one of the most divers places on earth. By sharing our knowledge with one another we broaden our ability to see and explore new places.Access to skills: Learning from your own mistakes can be fatal in the outdoors. By participating in group activities we learn from one another and gain access to skills we might not otherwise obtain.Access to information: Maps, driving and hiking directions, accurate route information, equipment needs, skill level requirements…this information (an more) is critical for a successful, safe adventure.
Motivation: your psyched, now get out and do it!
Motivation is a crucial element of any pursuit. Sharing with others – mentoring – is a great way to teach and be taught. It’s also a powerful motivator that drives you to improve and stay involved.
